Most people work, but it is a sad fact that many are unhappy in their work. Millions perhaps billions of people around the world feel unfulfilled and unhappy in their work. In the West the world of work is changing. Many people no longer work in 'Industrial Age' jobs, we now increasingly work virtually. But this has not in itself made people any happier in their work. Many suffer from boredom or stress.
What is needed is a change in consciousness around work. What is needed is an alignment of our values and aspirations with our work. For some a change in attitude is enough. For others a change in the form of work is also called for. Tonight you will learn how work is a hero's journey where you can learn to: align with your core values, awaken you intuition, connect with your inner calling, find or create work that is an authentic way to contribute and serve, and ultimately be fulfilled and happy in the work you choose to do.
Steve Nobel is our speaker - Steve is the author of three books, the latest being The Enlightenment of Work (to be published in 2012), personal and business coach, trained extensively in NLP and also a licensed HeartMath coach. He has been a co-director of Alternatives Holistic Centre in London for 11 years.
